Functionality

The ECS drying station is used for the final drying of the separated sludge.

The system can be used in conjunction with a high-performance clarifier, or it is also possible to pump the sludge out of the sedimentation tank of a 3-chamber system into the drying station.

The separated sludge is initially pumped into the catch basin of the bag station. From here it travels via individual discharge pipes into the drying bags located beneath. In these specially developed bags the sludge is dehydrated until it reaches compact dryness. Four drying bags hang in one container.

This means that changing the bags is incredibly easy. If the bags are full then a signal light on the switch cabinet illuminates.

Changing the bags: The ball valves are closed and the clamping rings opened, and the full bags drop into the container. This is then emptied with the aid of a forklift or a lift truck.
